1.   What forms of payment are accepted?

Unicalighting currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, bank transfers,and money orders.
2.   How do I pay by money order?

When paying by money order, we are able to ship all in-stock items as soon as payment arrives. For special order items, we will not be able to begin processing your order until your payment is received.

3.   What is your return policy?

Returns will be accepted within 30 days for store credit or exchange ONLY on all items except special orders, lighting, sale items and dinnerware sets (single place settings are suggested before a large purchase is made.) We will allow store credit and exchanges with receipt and original, intact packaging. Please be certain to return your purchase in original exterior box, well packed and insured for the full amount. Additional packaging may be necessary. All credited returns or exchanges must be in original, unused condition. A restocking fee may apply to any order not received in good condition. Please call 1-702-616-9280 for a return authorization. All special orders and sale items are considered non-refundable.

A refund policy on a purchase may be arranged, in advance, through contact with Hugh or Bonnie only. Any refund not approved beforehand is subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Important: Upon placement of order, please check your confirmation email immediately to insure "ship to" address is correct. Should the address be incorrect, please contact Unicalighting immediately. Once a package has been shipped, there will be a $15 redirect charge should the address need to be changed while in transit.

Shipping costs from Unicalighting will not be refunded or credited under any circumstances. Any purchases/exchanges due to returns are not covered under the free shipping offer. All costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated.

Credits are good for a period of 12 months following issuance.

Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 10 days of package arrival. Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt as no claims can be made after 10 days. (note: if you are purchasing a lighting fixture that is being installed a couple months down the road, test it when it arrives, not when it's being installed! The 10 day window will have long expired.)

4.   How are special orders handled?

Special orders are defined as any product not normally stocked by Unicalighting. Special orders with lengthy delivery times generally require a non-refundable 50% retail price deposit. Certain items drop shipped from the manufacturer directly to the client require full payment up front. Large dinnerware and cutlery orders require a 50% deposit. Cancellation of a special order must be done within 48 hours of confirmation of the order to avoid complete forfeiture of deposit. Cancellations within a 48 hour period will incur a 15% cancellation/restocking fee. Special order items may require the completion of a written sales agreement. Unicalighting will not be held responsible for any loss, delay, damage or cost involved with any delay associated with product shipment or delivery. Unicalighting makes no implicit guarantee of delivery date or arrival times for special order purchases. Some items may be out of stock and an extended period of time may be necessary for restocking. Some delays are due to manufacturing delays, others are due to increased security at our ports. We appreciate your understanding and will consistently do our best to assure speedy delivery of your special order. Unicalighting reserves the right to cancel any order after it has been placed. Please contact Unicalighting for more information in regard to specific items. We are happy to provide guidance with product choice.
5.   Can I have my items gift wrapped?

Gift wrapping is available on most orders with purchase of a gift card. When ordering online, please use the field labeled "Special Instructions" in the "Shipping Information" section of the order form to specify exactly which items you would like to have gift-wrapped.
6.   What is your shipping policy?

We are currently shipping to USA addresses only. All orders are shipped FEDEX ground unless otherwise specified. In stock orders received Sun-Thurs are shipped within 24-48 hours; exception: US Mail. Express shipments can be quoted for overnight, 2-Day or 3-Day shipping. Orders needing express shipping quotes must be placed by 12PM PST in order to process that same day. Certain items drop shipped from manufacturer may have an earlier cutoff time. Please call us (if possible) to be certain of a rush status and make a note on your order form. We will quote shipping ASAP. Express shipments placed on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday will be quoted the following Monday. Express packages do NOT ship out on Saturdays.
  • Unicalighting actively recycles shipping materials in an effort to reduce waste produced by the company.
  • Books are shipped via FEDEX ground in the United States unless otherwise specified.
7.   Do I pay sales taxes on my purchases?

Nevada residents will have sales tax automatically added to their order.

If Unicalighting is not collecting your state's taxes, you are expected to comply with your state's current laws regarding purchases over the Internet.
8.   What is your policy on privacy?

Unicalighting does not sell or distribute any customer information, under any circumstance, including those subscribed to our mailing list.
9.   How do you guarantee the security of my credit card information?

The Unicalighting website is secured using a Thawte Digital Certificate. This ensures that all information you send to us via the Internet will be encrypted using the latest 128-bit standards. Please view our Security Information page to verify the authenticity of our Thawte Digital Certificate.

Upon the placement of an order, you will notice the URL in your browser begins with "https://" to indicate that you are submitting your personal information via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). All credit card numbers are additionally stored in encrypted format in our order system and can only be accessed by individuals who are bonded and insured.
10.   How do I get free shipping?

Free shipping is available on most continental US orders over $100. Some items such as furniture and oversize items may require additional shipping and are exempt from this policy. To see if an item requires additional shipping, please read the description of the item, which will indicate if additional shipping cost is required. The free shipping offer is not applicable to any discount offers on dinnerware, glassware, etc. unless specified. Returns and Exchanges are not covered under the free shipping offer. Assume $15-$20 shipping for each service for 4 in dinnerware. We do not overcharge for shipping and there are no handling fees. Free shipping is for Fed Ex Ground delivery only. All expedited orders and freighted items, such as large chairs and sofas, will be quoted shipping before the transaction is finalized.
11.   Why should I create an account?

To provide the best overall level of security for your personal information during the ordering process, Unicalighting suggests that you create an account—using a login and password of your choice. This account allows you to enjoy a personalized online experience with us. Many useful features become available under "Your Account", such as utilities to change your password, update billing/shipping information, view your order history, manage your gift registries, and add or remove yourself from the mailing list.
12.   How do I search the online catalog?

The product search utility is very easy to use. You may search for a single word or a phrase. If your search results in too many matches than you expected, try narrowing your search with a phrase. Also, you may advance your search with the operators "AND", "OR", and "NEAR".

The "NEAR" operator is very useful when you want to search for something specific, for example, a stainless steel wastebasket. Simply type your search phrase as "stainless NEAR wastebasket", rather than "stainless wastebasket". The search results will return more matches that way.
13.   What about orders to Hawaii and Alaska?

Shipping is quoted and approved before an order is sent. Due to the high incidence of damage and loss, Unicalighting is no longer using the US Postal Service. We are currently using other carriers to track and properly insure our packages, making sure they get to you in top condition.
14.   Why do I need cookies enabled to login or place an order?

Cookies allow us to maintain what is known as a "user session". A Session allows us to track your progress through our site and ordering system via the cookie. Your cookie from our site expires once you turn off your browser.
15.   What is your cancellation policy for drop shipments?

There is a 15% cancellation fee for drop shipments directly from the manufacturer. This charge is effective once an order is processed and the manufacturer is notified. The customer will be notified of stock status on all direct shipments and no shipment will be backordered unless approval is given by the customer. Unicalighting can not responsible for any delays, shortages, or errors by the manufacturer, and we will do our best to see that the customer receives the most reliable service possible.
16.   How are "Delivery Times" determined?

"Delivery Time" is an estimate of time needed to receive your item if you live in the continental United States. A delivery time of "Quick" usually means that the item is in stock and can be ordered for faster delivery (overnight, 2nd day, or 3-day) if necessary. All delivery times are estimates for fed ex ground delivery. A 12-16 week delivery time usually means that the item must be ordered (or is currently on order) from overseas and there are additional factors that may cause delay with the shipment, such as factory delays and customs clearance. These are usually built into the estimated delivery time.
17.   How do I report damaged shipments?

Please email us immediately at returns@unicahome.com and we will process a claim and/or replacement. Fedex usually requires an inspection in the event of damage so please hold onto all packing materials and the item until further notice. Unicalighting MUST be informed within 7 days of delivery of all damaged goods, or we cannot process a claim. Please inspect all deliveries thoroughly upon arrival.
18.   What about shipping to APO/FPO addresses?

Shipping to APO/FPO addresses will be quoted and does not qualify for free shipping offer. Orders will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service.
19.   How do I use gift certificates or account credits?

Please place gift certificate number in offer code section. If gift certificate covers your purchase then choose "money order" for payment. If additional payment is needed please choose and enter appropriate payment information. The same policy applies for account credits except please mention "Use Account Credit" in "Shipping Instructions" on your order.
20.   What is your cancellation policy?

Cancelled orders once processed and packed are assessed a 15% restocking fee. Unicalighting reserves the right to cancel any order. Special orders may be subject to other rules.
21.   I'm trying to order a something with a color selection but I am unable to select a color. What is going on?

Our color swatch selector is based on a pop-up of an additional screen in order to show you a larger image. Some Internet Service Providers use "pop up killers" which disable this function. You will need to disable the pop up killer in order to view selections. We are currently working on solving this issue on our end and should have a solution in place shortly. Please call Unicalighting at 1-888-898-6422 if yoy are in need of assistance with your order.
