the mikado wall/ceiling lamp from artemide was designed by f.a. porsche between 1988 and 1992. designed for low voltage halogen spotlighting, this curious lamp features a rotatable body which is made from die-cast aluminum with metallic light grey lacquer finish, and a rim in matte black lacquered steel. the curved supporting arms and extension rods are of chromed steel.
the mikado mr/rt is mountable to a standard 4" octagonal junction box and requires a remote low voltage (12V) transformer installation. the mikado mr/it is also mountable to a standard 4" octagonal junction box but the low voltage transformer (120/12V) is incorporated into the lamp, all models are UL approved.
