Artemide - tizio table lamps by richard sapper for artemide

the tizio series from artemide designed by richard sapper, 1972. a true classic and one of the 20th century's most honored lamp designs. exhibited in over a dozen museums, the tizio is part of the permanent collections at the metropolitan and the museum of modern art, new york. these lamps have adjustable counterbalanced arms and heads in painted aluminum. the innovation of tizio is its construction: a 12V transformer in the lamp base powers a halogen lamp through rods and buttons. besides having a structural function, they carry electrical current without electric cables. several editions of the tizio available (all bulbs included)
