sylvain willenz is one of belgium’s leading young designers. he graduated from the royal college of art in 2003 & set up his studio in brussels in 2004. at 100% design in 2007, willenz’s collection experimented with new materials approaches to design. winner of the interieur kortrijk award in 2002 and nominated brussels’ most promising designer in 2005, willenz’s work is inspired by archetypal objects that he re-interprets, giving them a slight twist yet maintaining their simplicity.
